The egui.exe process is also known as the ESET NOD32 Antivirus. It is prevalently known as NOD32 and it is an antivirus software that was created by ESET. ESET is a company that specializes in IT security and it is based in Bratislava, Slovakia, which was founded in 1992. NOD was the first product of ESET, which was an antivirus running on MS-DOS. ESET commonly uses assembly language with its products making them efficient and requires only low level system requirements and disk space utilization. The ThreatSense is ESET’s scanning engine and the engine is said to make intricate use of heuristics and generic signatures. The heuristic technology used by ESET blocks and eliminates known and upcoming threats as quickly as hours to days, which is considered to faster than competing products. ThreatSense is considered to be using technology that offers diversified layers of protection with spot on identification of even the most obscure malware.
