The executable process file dvzmsgr.exe is identified as Documents To Go that is part of the software Documents To Go as developed by the company DataViz. The process file is found to be running in the Task Manager as the process dvzmsgr.exe which is considered as a document manager program that comes with PDA searching for updates to the application. The process file is installed with Palm Desktop (Documents To Go) that is found to be located in the subfolder C:\Windows, most commonly at C:\Windows\DVzCommon. On Windows 7/XP it has a file size of 24,576 bytes which is not needed to execute at startup however, when Windows starts, it simultaneously starts with the Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\User Shell Folders. The process file does not have a visible window, and is neither a Windows system file nor a Windows core file. In functionality it permits the use of office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files) on the handheld device, synchronizes e-mail attachments, Excel-like charts, pictures and PDF Files, and aids the application in transforming Microsoft Office documents compatibility with the Palm OS 5 device.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dvzmsgr.exe. is used by DataViz Messenger, If you shut down dvzmsgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dvzmsgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is DataViz Messenger, from your system.
