What is  dsc.exe

The file known as dsc.exe installs the Desktop Service Centre for OptusNet DSL Internet. It is not an essential Windows system process, although it automatically runs once the PC is opened. There have been reports by a number of users that the program hogs CPU usage, hampering the speed at which programs normally run. In view of this, users recommend disabling the program until such time when it will be used. The Desktop Service Centre is mainly utilized by users when they want to change their username and password for OptusNet user accounts. Other than this function, the program is generally left to sit on the task bar, without being used for weeks or months. No known virus threat or malware attack has been reported by users as of this writing. The only major concern of users is the occasional occurrence of CPU hogging. Aside from this, no error messages were linked to the dsc.exe file.
