The file dnindis5.sys, known as PCAUSA NDIS, belongs to software PCAUSA Rawether for Windows by Printing Communication Assoc. Inc. (PCAUSA). PCAUSA is a software development and consulting company whose mission is to support customers in their endeavor to develop innovative and specialized kernel-mode drivers for the Microsoft Windows platform. The application Rawether for Windows is a fifth generation framework for the development of Windows products that allow a user mode application to directly access NDIS network interface cards (NIC) drivers from Win32 applications. It uses NDIS protocol drivers that act as a relay between an application and the NDIS miniport driver. In most cases the presence of the supporting NDIS protocol drivers is transparent to the developed applications. These NDIS protocol drivers are installed when the application is installed, and starts automatically when they are needed. Applications that have been created using this program require the development of an OEM version of the Rawether drivers to prevent collision with other Rawether-based applications.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dnindis5.sys. is used by PCAUSA Rawether for Windows, If you shut down dnindis5.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
