The file dlcjmon.exe, known as Dell Device Monitor, belongs to software DellDevice Monitor by Dell. The DellDevice Monitor is software that relates to the performance of a Dell printer that is connected to the computer. The printer communicates with the operating system of the computer in order to execute the functionality of the device, and when this process encounters problems or fails to execute, the process file dlcjmon.exe executes and advices the user of this loss in functionality. This process is not an essential process and can be deleted from the system. However, deleting the process will result to a loss of the monitoring system, which advises users that the programs supporting the Dell device has been compromised. Messages from the DellDevice Monitor, which usually indicate an error in the executed command related to a Dell device, should prompt the user to check the installed software and device driver to ensure that these have not been deleted or infected by malware.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dlcjmon.exe. is used by DellDevice Monitor, If you shut down dlcjmon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dlcjmon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is DellDevice Monitor, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as DellDevice Monitor, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application.
