What is  dkservice.exe

The dkservice.exe process allows the program Diskeeper to be specifically run by the user at desired times. It is installed with the disk fragmenting utility, Executive Software Diskeeper, a popular replacement for the Windows Disk Defragmenter. The dkservice.exe file is among the three components of the Diskeeper’s automatic defrag software. As it is a Windows service specifically handling intercomponent communications, the dkservice.exe file is critically needed in the user interface or the defrag engine could go out of sync and fail to function and perform their actions accordingly. Additionally, this Diskeeper application is able to address a variety of external communications like communicating with Diskeeper Administrator the task of communicating data reports and product updates. One of the two forms of user interface, the diskeeper.msc and the diskeeper.exe process allows the configuration of the user of the Diskeeper application. This will determine when the scheduled defragmentation tasks are done, along with scheduling new ones.
