The dit.exe file is a MultiCard reader tool which basically runs the application Drive Icon and Label Utility. This program, which is developed by ICSI Technology Ltd., is a component that is made to assign names and icons of drives to flash memory cards and flash memory card readers. The dit.exe process is the key tool which makes that function works. It enables standard drives to become accessible, which means handheld devices like USB cable can be easily connected. The program Drive Icon and Label Utility starts once the computer is turned on even when there is no device connected yet. It just indicates that the application is installed in the system and normally runs as soon during the startup of the system. The process dit.exe file is responsible in making memory cards readable and have compatible removable devices connected to the computer. Once a user connects any compatible device, this utility tool identifies, read and install the flash memory cards.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dit.exe. is used by Drive Icon and Label Utility, If you shut down dit.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dit.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Drive Icon and Label Utility, from your system.
