The discupdmgr.exe file is an instance of a Windows process called as DISCover Update Manager, but specifically a component of the software with the same name, DISCover Update Manager, or sometimes referred to as simply DISCover, which is a product developed by Digital Interactive Systems Corporation, Inc. Disc Update Manager or DISCover Update Manager is used for the DISCover Console application, which is developed for video games. As the discupdmgr.exe file is termed as the DISCover Update Manager, it is an essential module that needs to keep running in the background, whether it automatically launches during Windows startup, or manually opened. It has basic function that completes the different tasks or main objective of the program DISCover Update Manager. Stopping or terminating this particular file may cause errors that can eventually disable the software from properly working. In addition, discupdmgr.exe is a file that is compatible with most later versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows NT.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. discupdmgr.exe. is used by DISCover Update Manager, If you shut down discupdmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop discupdmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is DISCover Update Manager, from your system.

A process usually a part of an installed application such as DISCover Update Manager, or your operating system that is responsible for running in functions of that application.
