The dfrgfat.exe file is a Windows process that comes with the service name Disk Defragmenter FAT File System Module, which is a part of the program Diskeeper Disk Defragmenter, also called Windows Disk Defragmenter, and is created by Microsoft Corporation, together with Executive Software International, or Diskeeper. The software Diskeeper Disk Defragmenter is a type of computer application that is used primarily for defragmentation, while the dfrgfat.exe file specifically serves as the defragmenter for disks partitions, which are all formatted with the FAT file system. This is an essential process that needs to continue to run on the system as a background system. Stopping this particular file can cause errors and may lead the program to not properly work. Unless it starts to cause problems and errors, the dfrgfat.exe file must not be terminated, or else it can disable the Diskeeper Disk Defragmenter software from functioning, plus it may not execute other processes that depend on it.
