The process dcservice.exe is a type of an executable file, and an essential component of Entriq Download Control Service, which is a product developed by Entriq, Inc. This file, known by its name DCSHOST, or also called as DCService Application, is bundled in the software Download Control Service. This program is compatible with Microsoft Windows operating systems, which include later versions, such as Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7, by Microsoft Corporation. Once Entriq Download Control Service is installed on the computer system, the file dcservice.exe is also downloaded and located usually in folder C:\Documents and Settings, if not in C:\Program Files. Any error of Entriq Download Control Service may have something to do with the file dcservice.exe. Thus, deleting dcservice.exe may disable the program. Unless the application needs to be uninstalled, dcservice.exe needs to remain running in the background or present on its folder location on the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dcservice.exe. is used by Entriq Download Control Service, If you shut down dcservice.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dcservice.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Entriq Download Control Service, from your system.
