What is  dcmsvc.exe

The dcmsvc.exe file is a Digital Copy Manager file that is generally launched when a Warner Brothers application is installed to play movies on the computer. It is not part of any version of Windows, but is launched anyway upon startup once the file has been previsouly used for a WB movie. The program can be found in the C:\Program Files subfolder, written as such: C/Program Files/dcmsvc/dcmsve.exe. It is not an essential process needed for Windows to function properly. Anti-virus programs sometimes detect dcmsvc.exe as a virus or malicious software even after removal of the Warner Brothers application. Spyware is left running after removal. In some cases, malicious software is detected because there are programs that use this .exe file as a mask to launch malware. A dcmsve.exe file that is suspicious is usually found in the subfolder of C:/Windows or more specifically, detected as such: C:\Windows\system32. Users found Windows startup slow in loading and launch speed of programs is compromised as well.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dcmsvc.exe. is used by Warner Brothers application, If you shut down dcmsvc.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dcmsvc.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Warner Brothers application, from your system.
