The dca-ua.exe file refers to Compete Data Collection Agent or DCA Update Agent, which is developed by Compete, Inc. This program, which houses dca-ua.exe, is a 64-bit running program in the background of Windows operating system, that launches once during the startup of the computer. What this file process does is to check for any updates for various applications, and download them automatically once detected or found. As a part of the program, dca-ua.exe has a significant role that makes up DCA Update Agent fully functional. It means that if this file is missing, the program is not going to completely or properly work. Other modules or processes may also call for this particular file, and without it may disable them from initiating their tasks.
