The cubec.exe file is an executable process that has been flagged by the anti-malware tools of many users as a variant of Trojan families known to infect unprotected Windows-based computers with outdated OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users claim that the cubec.exe malware is embedded with autorun functionalities implemented by the cubec.exe malware upon its successful placement and activation in the unprotected system, and this is said to allow the cubec.exe malware to create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry. These users also claim that these registry strings instruct the system to allow the cubec.exe malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as a cloacked or hidden background process during system runtime. The cubec.exe malware is also said to be capable of exploiting and using unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, especially in unprotected computers with outdated or missing OS security certificates, to download more malicious applications unto the system, or to wait for instructions from remote servers that are said to be managed by the authors of the cubec.exe malware.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cubec.exe. is used by Trojan Downloader/Malware, If you shut down cubec.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cubec.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan Downloader/Malware, from your system.
