From the application ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software from UPEK, Inc. comes the executable file ctlcntr.exe or referred to as PSuite Control Center. ThinkVantage Fingerprint Software is a security feature installed on computers to protect any unit from any undesirable users that may access files and folders. With this file, the computer can only be booted by an authenticated fingerprint as programmed in the system. It works with several laptops and computes with fingerprint detection features or any computer with installed fingerprint keyboard or reader. This file is able to access any fingerprint detecting hardware and may block or allow access to the computer depending on the authentication of the fingerprint read from the hardware. Ctlcntr.exe is located inside the program files folder of the local drive directory and eats up 126 KB of disc space. This is not a core system of Windows operating system.
