The cteaxspl.exe process is an executable component file integrated into the system upon the installation of the firmware resources and device driver software utilities that are distributed with Creative Sound Blaster Audigy devices. The cteaxspl.exe process is specifically deployed into the system as the executable program dispatcher file of the EAX Splash application, which is a small program built into Creative Sound Blaster Audigy firmware utilities and device driver software resources that activate the Creative EAX logo display with sound during system startup, in order to inform users that the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy device has been correctly installed in their Windows-based computers. The Creative Sound Blaster Audigy device is a soundcard developed by Creative Technology and distributed with firmware utilities and device driver software resources that include the cteaxspl.exe file as one of its EXE component processes. This means the cteaxspl.exe file is bundled with the other component files and resource libraries that are packaged into the installer distributions of these Creative Sound Blaster Audigy soundcard firmware components and drivers, and are unloaded unto the Windows-based system upon installing these resources.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cteaxspl.exe. is used by Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Firmware/Driver Software and EAX Splash Application, If you shut down cteaxspl.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cteaxspl.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Creative Sound Blaster Audigy Firmware/Driver Software and EAX Splash Application, from your system.
