The csystray.exe file is an executable component process of the InterSystems Cache software, which is a cross platform application classified as a developer program that can be used to design advanced object databases for software development projects in C++, Java, .NET and XML among other supported programming languages. The InterSystems Cache software is also embedded with features for creating object databases that can handle multiple transactional database processing tasks and simultaneous database queries from several applications, even with minimal hardware requirements, and these databases usually require low level maintenance because of the functionalities that can be embedded by the InterSystems Cache software into these database development and application design projects. The csystray.exe process is specifically deployed into the system by the InterSystems Cache software to assist in the generation and deployment of an icon in the Windows System Tray that can provide users with quick and easy access to the control panel options and context menu items available in the UI (User Interface) of the InterSystems Cache software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. csystray.exe. is used by InterSystems Cache and InterSystems Cache Tray Application, If you shut down csystray.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop csystray.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is InterSystems Cache and InterSystems Cache Tray Application, from your system.
