What is csrml.exe
Many users reported that their system security tools classify the csrml.exe process as a malicious application associated with a variant of the Packed.Generic.112 program, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with outdated OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These users claim that the csrml.exe malware is capable of creating and injecting strings into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system, especially computers with outdated OS security certificates. These users state that these registry keys and entries allow the csrml.exe malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as a hidden or cloacked background process during system runtime. The csrml.exe malware is said to be capable of exploiting unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the unprotected Windows-based computer. The csrml.exe malware allegedly uses these exploited system vulnerabilities to initiate contact with predesignated remote servers, in order for the csrml.exe malware to download more malicious applications unto the system from these remote servers, which are said to be managed by the authors of the csrml.exe malware. Other user groups reported that their anti-malware applications flag the csrml.exe process as a malicious component of a variant associated with the Win32/Numnom.A program, which is a family of backdoor rootkits and Trojans known to be embedded with spyware functionalities.
