The file cqmghost.exe is included in HP/Compaq Management Agents software. The file is associated with a process called Foundation Agent. The software is installed manually by the user. It does not come pre-installed in HP and Compaq machines. It is located in its default path, C:\Windows\System 32\CpqMgmt\cqmghost\cqmghost.exe. Compaq Foundation Agent designed for Windows has provides users with four management features, and out of this four only two are automatically installed when the file is executed. These two default features are Web Agent and OS Management Component. The other two, WMI Agent and Event Notifier will have to be selected by the user during the installation process. The file has a size of approximately 4096 KB. This is a background task that is required to launch upon Windows boot-up. Users regard the file as an essential tool in monitoring system performance and processes, and managing SNMP, among others; therefore majority of users leave the file enabled.
