The cpuidlep.sys process is a component driver file of the CpuIdle Pro software. This application is a Windows program categorized as a CPU (Central Processing Unit) diagnostics and monitoring tool, which was designed by Andreas Goetz for optimizing the power management configurations of a Windows-based system and the overall performance of the CPU among other motherboard components. Once the power management settings of the system has been optimized by the CpuIdle Pro software, the temperature of the CPU and other motherboard devices are significantly lowered down. The cpuidlep.sys driver file is specifically deployed to assist in facilitating data transmissions and communications between the CPU and other related motherboard devices, the CpuIdle Pro application and its software utilities, and the Windows-based system, its SYS driver components and firmware resources. The cpuidlep.sys file is placed in the system as the CpuIdle Pro System driver upon the installation of the CpuIdle Pro software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cpuidlep.sys. is used by CpuIdle Pro and CpuIdle Pro System Driver, If you shut down cpuidlep.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cpuidlep.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CpuIdle Pro and CpuIdle Pro System Driver, from your system.
