What is  coupon1.dll

The coupon1.dll file has been flagged by the system security applications of many users as a malicious program associated with the AdWare.Win32.Coupons software, which is a family of obtrusive adware items, Web browser hijackers and BHOs (Browser Helper Objects) that are allegedly integrated with spyware functionalities. These users claim that the coupon1.dll adware is capable of displaying pop-up advertisements while the user is browsing the Internet using an unprotected Windows-based computer, and is also said to be capable of redirecting Web browsers, especially versions that are already outdated, to websites that are managed by the authors of the coupon1.dll adware. These users reported that the coupon1.dll adware and its executable component processes are capable of automaticaly initializing during system startup because of certain keys and entries that these applications are said to create and inject into the unsecured Windows System Registry of unprotected systems upon its successful placement and activation. Other users claim that their anti-malware tools classify the coupon1.dll file as a malicious variant of certain components associated with the CouponBar program, which is a known adware application.
