Corel File Shell Monitor is the name of the application that is included in the software for Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XII. The application provides support for the organizer featured in the software. The file helps in monitoring changes in associated files such as renaming of files in Windows Explorer. It appears to be a system resource hog, as mentioned by quite a few users. File path is typically C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2\coreliomonitor.exe. Product version 1, 0, 1, 20071010, 19 has an approximated size of 16,200 bytes. There are reports that the file causes errors when dismounting removable media devices. In such instances, disabling the file was the common solution undertaken by the user. It does not appear to have a negative effect on the software when the file was disabled. Other than these two issues: CPU hogging and media device error, there were no other reported issues with regards to the file.
