The confmspd.dll file has been reported to be flagged by the system security tools of many users as a malicious application associated with certain variants and components of Trojans and worms that are known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems without updated OS security certificates and with unencrypted TCP/IP network ports. These users claim that the confmspd.dll file has an active EXE component process that activates the confmspd.dll malware upon system startup, and these users also state that this executable component process of the confmspd.dll malware is embedded with self-activating functionalities and the ability to create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected system, in which these registry keys and entries are said to instruct Windows to allow this executable component process and the confmspd.dll malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as hidden background processes during system runtime. These users also reported that the confmspd.dll malware, upon its successful placement and activation in the unprotected Windows-based computer, is capable of finding unencrypted TCP/IP network ports that the confmspd.dll malware is said to exploit and use to initiate contact with remote servers that are managed by the authors of the confmspd.dll malware. Upon contacting these remote servers, these users claim that the confmspd.dll malware establishes data transmission and communication lines with these remote servers, in order to download more malicious applications unto the system or waitf for further instructions from these remote servers that the confmspd.dll malware is said to perform in the infected system upon receipt of those directives.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. confmspd.dll. is used by Trojan/Worm, If you shut down confmspd.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop confmspd.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Trojan/Worm, from your system.
