The co2saver.exe process is an executable component file of the CO2 Saver application, which is a Windows toolbar classified as a power management application that was developed by Perfect Market Technologies, inc. (operator of Snap.Com) with a set of features for automatically adjusting the power management settings of a Windows-based computer to reduce its power consumption especially when idle, and for calculating the amount of power that has been saved upon the deployment of the CO2 Saver toolbar into the system, in order to convert this into the amount of CO2 emissions that has been prevented, to display this value for the user to see and to share this with other users of the CO2 Saver application. The co2saver.exe process is specifically deployed into the system upon the installation of the CO2 Saver software as its executable program dispatcher file, which means users can activate the co2saver.exe file so as to load the CO2 Saver toolbar unto the system, access the UI (User Interface) of this program and implement its power management and power saving functionalities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. co2saver.exe. is used by CO2 Saver, If you shut down co2saver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop co2saver.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CO2 Saver, from your system.
