The cmenu.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented into the system by the 4Shared Desktop software, which is a Windows program classified as an online client FTP software developed with a set of features that can allow 4Shared account subscribers and members to conveniently upload, download and manage content in the 4Shared file hosting portal. The cmenu.dll file is specifically deployed into the system by the 4Shared Desktop software as the 4Shared Client to Server FTP Utility library, which is referenced by the 4Shared Desktop application whenever it is currently in use, in order to assist in the integration of this program's FTP (File Transfer Protocol) functionalities into the Windows-based system and its TCP/IP network ports. The cmenu.dll file is placed in the system upon the installation of the 4Shared Desktop software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cmenu.dll. is used by 4Shared Desktop and 4Shared Client to FTP Server Utility Library, If you shut down cmenu.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
