What is  cmds.exe

The cmds.exe process is an executable file that has been reported by many users as a malicious program classified by their system security tools as a variant of the Spyware.007Spy application, which is a family of spyware items known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with outdated Web browsers and unencrypted TCP/IP network ports. These users claim that the cmds.exe process is capable of automatically initializing during system startup because of certain registry keys and entries that this malicious program can create and inject into the Windows System Registry upon its successful placement and activation in the system. Upon its initialization, these users reported that the cmds.exe process is capable of exploiting TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers that it can use to transmit private user details and Internet surfing information secretly collected from the infected system and its default Web browser while the cmds.exe file is covertly operating as a hidden background process during system runtime. These details are claimed by these users to be transmitted to predesignated remote servers that are managed by the authors of the cmds.exe process. Other users state that their own anti-malware tools flag the cmds.exe process as a variant of the Win32/Malat program, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems. As a Trojan, these users claim that the cmds.exe process exploits and uses these unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers of the infected system in order to initiate contact with predesignated Web servers, so the cmds.exe process can then begin to download more malicious applications unto the system from those Web servers, which are managed by the authors of the cmds.exe process.
