The clwatson.exe file is an executable application process that is implemented into the system by CyberLink software products, which are Windows programs that are mostly multimedia playback, recording and editing applications, some of which are bundled with supported hardware components and devices like graphic cards, video capture and editing tools, DVD and Blue-Ray disk drives among others. The clwatson.exe process is specifically implemented into the system as the EXE program dispatcher file of the CyberLink Crash Log Collector application, which is a small program built into these CyberLink software products, and this application, as its name implies, is responsible for gathering details that are logged by the system and these CyberLink applications after program crashes and freezes. The clwatson.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these CyberLink software products.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clwatson.exe. is used by CyberLink Software Products and CyberLink Crash Log Collector Application, If you shut down clwatson.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clwatson.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CyberLink Software Products and CyberLink Crash Log Collector Application, from your system.
