The process simply known as Cleanup, installed through the clclean.0001 executable file, is a component of the Macrovision Europe Ltd. Cleanup software. The file appears to be installed by Creative media cards, which usually come bundled with various laptop and desktop brands. Usually, machines with integrated Audigy sound cards or Audigy processors already have the clclean.0001 file pre-loaded onto the system. As to the specific functions of the file, these remain a bit unclear. However, there were reports by a few users that the file serves as the filter for the audio control module of Creative’s audio cards. The file has not been found to behave suspiciously on the PC, hence; users generally let the file run upon startup. Its usual folder is C:\Documents and Settings.
