The process simply known as Cleanup, installed through the clclean.0001 executable file, is a component of the Macrovision Europe Ltd. Cleanup software. The file appears to be installed by Creative media cards, which usually come bundled with various laptop and desktop brands. Usually, machines with integrated Audigy sound cards or Audigy processors already have the clclean.0001 file pre-loaded onto the system. As to the specific functions of the file, these remain a bit unclear. However, there were reports by a few users that the file serves as the filter for the audio control module of Creative’s audio cards. The file has not been found to behave suspiciously on the PC, hence; users generally let the file run upon startup. There have been no reports about the clclean.0001 file as being a system attacker or spyware. It has also not been mentioned as consuming system resources. Typical file size is 59,964 bytes. Its usual folder is C:\Documents and Settings.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clclean.0001. is used by Cleanup, If you shut down clclean.0001, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clclean.0001, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Cleanup, from your system.
