Known by the name Input Assistant Software Kernel, the chifuncext.exe process is an executable file that belongs to Input Assistant Software, a program created by Chicony. Once the software is installed, the file chifuncext.exe is also downloaded and usually located in the C:\Windows folder, sometimes in C:\Program Files or C:\Documents and Settings, depending on the Microsoft Windows operating system used. Furthermore, this file is not visible or a type of Windows core file, but is made compatible with Microsoft Windows OS. It is also an essential component of Input Assistant Software, that without the file, the program is disabled. It is possible for Input Assistant Software not to work properly, if the Input Assistant Software Kernel process is deleted or corrupted. Any error of this file also indicates failure, which can generally disable the software from providing its features and functions. With that said, the chifuncext.exe file must remain present and actively running on the system, unless the program Input Assistant Software needs to be removed or uninstalled.
