Part of the ConfigFree software developed by Toshiba Corporation, cfsserv.exe or ConfigFree Search Service is the application software for both wired and wireless communications in mobile computing using portable devices such as laptops, notebooks, and handheld devices as well. CFSServ.exe is the search point of ConfigFree, and is especially designed and programmed to suit Toshiba mobile devices/equipments, providing user configuration control across network communications. CFSServ.exe is a 32-bit program that executes with user account privileges when logged in, and is activated via the explorer.exe process upon system startup launch. CFSServ.exe displays active Wi-Fi and 802.11b nearby access points and ad-hoc networks within a radar screen. The version 4.0 of ConfigFree for notebooks allows users the searching abilities for Bluetooth-enabled devices to establish connection to authorized wireless devices detected or found. The devices with stronger radio signals are positioned nearer to the radius center, while the devices with weaker signals are likewise positioned farther.
