The cfosnt.sys file is a driver utility implemented into the system by cFos software products, which are Windows programs classified as network and Internet connectivity optimization tools that can allow users to shape their network's Internet traffic and enhance the latency of their Internet connectivity while retaining high data transfer rates across client and server systems of their local and remote networks. The cfosnt.sys file is placed in the system upon the installation of these cFos applications, which means the cfosnt.sys file is included as one of the component SYS drivers, executable program components, resource files and libraries that are bundled into the installer distribution packages of these cFos programs. The cfosnt.sys driver is specifically deployed into the Windows-based system to integrate cFos application compatibility support for client and server computers that run on Windows NT OS versions.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfosnt.sys. is used by cFos Software Products, If you shut down cfosnt.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
