Many users claim that the cfg32p.dll file is a malicious program camouflaged as a valid DLL (Dynamic Link Library) module, and these same users state that the cfg32p.dll file is a variant of a malicious program called Win32.Bookedspace, as flagged by their system security tools. The Win32.Bookedspace program is said to be an obtrusive adware component, and some users reported that the cfg32p.dll file is also embedded with spyware-like functionalities. Other users claim that their system security tools classify the cfg32p.dll file as a variant of the malicious ADW_BOOKSPACE.C program, which is a known family of adware applications integrated with spyware functionalities. These users claim that the cfg32p.dll file is capable of gathering private user details and Internet surfing information from the infected system and its default Web browser, in order for the cfg32p.dll file to transmit these details to predesignated Web servers, so these remote resources can in turn send pop-up advertisements while the user is browsing the Internet. These pop-up ads are said to be related to the content of the websites that the user is currently browsing, or to the content of the user's frequently visited websites, bookmarked Web pages and previous search engine queries.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfg32p.dll. is used by Win32.Bookedspace Adware and ADW_BOOKSPACE.C Adware, If you shut down cfg32p.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cfg32p.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Win32.Bookedspace Adware and ADW_BOOKSPACE.C Adware, from your system.
