According to many user reports, the certcl.dll file is a malicious program classified by the system security tools of these users as a variant of the TROJ_AGENT.AEUA software, which is a family of Trojans known to infect Windows-based systems. These user reports claim that the certcl.dll file is disguised as a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module, in order to trick users into thinking that this file is a legitimate Windows system library. The certcl.dll file has also been reported to assist its associated Trojan components in initiating contact with the Web servers of its authors, in order to download more malicious applications unto the system. The same user reports claim that the certcl.dll file is capable of doing this by exploiting unprotected TCP/IP network ports of the infected Windows-based system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. certcl.dll. is used by TROJ_AGENT.AEUA, If you shut down certcl.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop certcl.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is TROJ_AGENT.AEUA, from your system.
