The cerberus.exe file is an EXE application process implemented into the system by the Cerberus FTP Server software, which is a Windows program classified as an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) tool designed with a set of features for remotely and locally managing files and folders stored in server and client systems. The cerberus.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the Cerberus FTP Server software, which means users can execute the cerberus.exe file in order to load the Cerberus FTP Server software unto the system. Upon its activation, the cerberus.exe process assists in the implementation of the server and client FTP functionalities embedded in the Cerberus FTP Server into the Windows-based computer. The cerberus.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Cerberus FTP Server software.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cerberus.exe. is used by Cerberus FTP Server, If you shut down cerberus.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cerberus.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Cerberus FTP Server, from your system.
