The cdslmd.exe file is used as an EXE application process by the SYS driver files, other executable resource components, certain modular DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files, particular background process items and various associated components of firmware distributions and driver software packages that are bundled with some motherboards equipped with chipsets and devices from Cadence Design Systems. This means the cdslmd.exe file is placed in the Windows-based system upon the installation of these associated firmware components and driver software resources for these Cadence motherboard chipsets and devices, which also means the cdslmd.exe process is implemented into the installer distributions of those Cadence device driver software packages and chipset firmware component resources. The cdslmd.exe process and the other resource items used by these Cadence firmware and driver software distributions are integrated with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cdslmd.exe. is used by Cadence Global Systems Firmware and Driver Software, If you shut down cdslmd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cdslmd.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Cadence Global Systems Firmware and Driver Software, from your system.
