The bushell.dll process is known as Backup Shell, and an essential part of the program Backup Component, also called Backup Shell, or Norton 360, which is designed and released by Symantec Corporation. The Backup Shell or Backup Component application is technically a part of the security program Norton Internet Security, or Norton 360, which is used to protect the Windows computer against malware, spyware, viruses, and Trojans. Also, the bushell.dll file is responsible in executing other modules that are exclusively encoded to scan and remove malicious files, block dangerous sites, filter email spam, control firewall setting, and avoid phishing. With that said, bushell.dll is a very important DLL component (with a digital signature), that must not be terminated, as it can disable the main function of the program, and not be effective in removing unnecessary and unwanted threats of the PC.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bushell.dll. is used by Backup Component or Backup Shell or Norton 360, If you shut down bushell.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bushell.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Backup Component or Backup Shell or Norton 360, from your system.
