Bluetooth Audio Device or btaudio.sys is a system file for WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software from WIDCOMM or Broadcom Corporation. This file is a system driver that makes possible for computer peripherals such as mouse and keyboard, with Bluetooth connection features to communicate with the computer. With the file btaudio.sys, computer can receive input from the user through blue tooth signals sent by an installed peripheral. Btaudio.sys acts as a connector and a translator for both the peripheral and the computer to function together. The file btaudio.sys is located inside the drivers subfolder of windows inside the local drive directory. File size for this system file ranges from 16 KB to 17 KB depending on the version of the supported software. The file can be disabled through the control panel of the computer, and will not pose any harm on the operating system since this is not a core file. However, this file is needed for continuous function of the attached Bluetooth peripheral.
