Bytemobile Web Configuration Service is the service name of the file bmwebcfg.exe, which is a type of an executable file, and a part of the program Bytemobile Optimization Client, also referred to as Bytemobile Web Configurator, which is developed by Bytemobile Inc. Bytemobile Optimization Client is able to improve the server-based web optimization program, for the purpose to expand capacity, and speed up browsing when using a mobile device. When the software is installed onto the computer, the file bmwebcfg.exe is among the components that are downloaded, automatically run in the background, since it is registered into the Windows registry, and stored on a particular file folder location. This process must remain active and running, so it is not advisable to terminate or stop it, unless it starts to affect the performance of the computer system. Like other modules, bmwebcfg.exe is a file that is compatible with most versions of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, which include later versions, such as Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Servers (2003 and 2000), Windows NT, and Windows ME.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bmwebcfg.exe. is used by Bytemobile Optimization Client or Bytemobile Web Configurator, If you shut down bmwebcfg.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop bmwebcfg.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Bytemobile Optimization Client or Bytemobile Web Configurator, from your system.

Some poorly written applications have many processes that run that may not be required and take up valuable processing power within your computer.
