The file blackice.exe is a security utility software for the computer. It is also known as BlackICE PC Protection which is a product of the IBM Internet Security Service developed by the IBM company. This file is associated with BlackICE PC Protection software where it helps in protecting the computer system from errors or against harmful intruders like worms, Trojans and viruses. The process acts as the firewall of the computer system which enhances its security by blocking malicious software and programs, and also performs automatic scanning periodically. The user may have the option to set the scanning frequency of his or her choice. The blackice.exe file automatically starts upon the booting process of the Windows and automatically adds itself into the taskbar menu.
