Owned and developed by Bigfix, Incorporated, bigfix.exe is the executable file that launches BigFix, a software especially designed to continuously check the computer for system errors, bugs, and malware. BigFix performs driver scans and system updates, promising a safe and smooth, hassle-free computing. BigFix focuses on reducing network, mobile, and network server costs. Originally as a self-help program, it has expanded into a wide range of on-demand management tools that include asset security, inventory/discovery, detection and solution, software distribution, patch management, IT compliance reporting, security policy, license management, and end-user power consumption management. The progam is a software-based collection that provides the user a control center for system management and configuration, software updates, patches, and management information from the BigFix Console. The BigFix Server provides device and group graphical displays and device statuses and dashboards for management execution via the BigFix infrastructure. The BigFix Console includes reporting templates and functions that enable tabular views on the status infrastructure.

How can I stop bigfix.exe and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. bigfix.exe. is used by BigFix, If you shut down bigfix.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
