pcAnywhere Legacy Driver Module or pcAnywhere Legacy Driver is the term referred to the process awlegacy.sys, which is a component (driver file) of the program Symantec pcAnywhere or pcAnywhere, which is a type of remote access program that is developed and offered by Symantec Corporation. The awlegacy.sys file is not just a basic part of the application, but because it is a digitally signed module (Symantec Corporation - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer), it is an essential process that needs to continuously run and load. The awlegacy.sys file has the general responsibility to control the program when attached or installed onto the Windows computer, and this supports a variety of operating systems or OS, like Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. The awlegacy.sys file can also execute other processes that are included in the application, and be launched by another module or more, to enable its given task.
