Kaspersky identifies avpo.exe file as Trojan-GameThief.Win32.WOW.sf or Packed.Win32.NSAnti.r. The location of this file is in C:\Windows\System32. Known sizes for the file include 68,502 bytes, 88,035 bytes with 20% occurrence and 6 other variants. This process loads when you boot Windows. The registry key is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. A Trojan Horse or Trojan is a kind of malware that is not self-replicating. Its mode of action may seem desirable but it actually performs malicious operations. It often uses a backdoor to allow unauthorized access to the computer. It appears invisible to the user. It does not inject itself into other files the way virus does. Trojans can steal information. It can access the computer through downloads or installations from the Internet such as games, videos and audio files.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. avpo.exe. is used by Trojan-GameThief.Win32.WOW.sf or Packed.Win32.NSAnti.r, If you shut down avpo.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
