The amts.exe file is an EXE application process integrated into the system by the AutoMate software, which is a Windows program classified as a network system automation development tool designed by Network Automation with a set of features for integrating drag-and-drop functionalities into automation projects for network and client applications. The amts.exe process is specifically deployed as the executable program dispatcher file of the AutoMate Task Service software, which is a small application built into the AutoMate program, and the amts.exe process operates as a background process whenever the AutoMate software is actively running in the system. The AutoMate program can be used in client and server computers that are based on widely used versions of Microsoft Windows, and the amts.exe file is placed in these systems upon the installation of the AutoMate software, which means the amts.exe process is included in the component files and resource libraries that are bundled into the installer distribution packages of the Network Automation AutoMate application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. amts.exe. is used by Network Automation AutoMate and AutoMate Task Service Application, If you shut down amts.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop amts.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Network Automation AutoMate and AutoMate Task Service Application, from your system.
