This type of process is known as ADvdDisc Dynamic Link Library belonging to AnyDVD software designed by SlySoft. It is a DLL (Dynamic Link Library) loadable process that contains a utility function that enables other programs to call. This process can be conjoined with other running programs and has the ability to either change or manipulate their behaviour. It is not a Windows system file but it can record inputs. It has been found out that this file is highly related to a malicious spyware. Because of this, its technical security rating is considered dangerous at 62%. The usual location of this file is on C:\Program Files with a storage size of 129,984 bytes at 35% of the time with other storage variants on Windows 7 and Windows XP operating systems. Users can remove this process if it is found to be causing problems on the computer’s system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. advddischlp.dll. is used by AnyDVD, If you shut down advddischlp.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
