This file, accountlogon.exe, is a property of product software AccountLogon which is better known by the name of the software. This was developed by Rhodes Software Pty, an online company site that offers service with regard to account security log ins. Rhodes Software Pty has designed a tool that would allow users to log in to all their accounts with just a click by using a single password. This account log in software has a skinned interface and it uses an Internet Explorer Toolbar. The AccountLogon software secures a user’s account information, especially the password, when accessing multiple internet accounts. To perform this task, AccountLogon gathers the information of a user and keeps them in an encrypted file into the user’s computer hard drive. Users can also opt to keep them in a floppy disk drive. AccountLogon file is usually located on the C:\Program Files folder in Windows.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. accountlogon.exe. is used by AccountLogon, If you shut down accountlogon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop accountlogon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is AccountLogon, from your system.
