What is  1sass.exe

Commonly mistaken as another Windows operating system core file of almost the same name, this process is an executable application without any distinctive signature or software owner. Other than 1sass.exe, this process may have other filenames such as srvany.exe, inetpub.exe, and windows.exe. Identified as a Malware or a Trojan Horse by many security software, this file is commonly located inside the subfolders fdaemon, startup, system, Temp, and Windir inside Windows folder of the local directory. Storage size of this file ranges from as small as 40 KB up to as big as 90 KB. Most often than not, this file evades detection of antivirus software. When running, it does not pull up any visible window nor show any icons on the taskbar. Reported as unsafe by users, this file is harmful and may cause damage to files and software and can safely be removed without any effect to the functions of the operating system or running programs.
