What is  vmware-vmx.exe

The vmware-vmx.exe file is known by the service name VMware Workstation VMX, or VMware Server VMX, which is a component of the program VMware Workstation, or VMware Server, a product created by VMware, and runs in computers and laptops with Windows operating system, by Microsoft Corporation, installed. Once VMware Workstation, or VMware Server, is installed on the Windows computer, this module is also downloaded, along with other files, including those processes that call for it, and stored on a particular folder location, usually in C:\Program Files, if not in C:\Documents and Settings. If this file is successfully stored, it runs in the background, that is if the software that houses it is launched or opened and used. Stopping or disabling the vmware-vmx.exe file may cause errors when attempting to use the program VMware Workstation, or VMware Server. It has to continue running to complete the functions expected to be carried out by the software.
