The strgsync.exe process is an executable component file deployed by the firmware resources and driver software utilities of SimpleDrive external hard disks as one of its embedded EXE processes for implementing its integrated data backup functionalities. This means the strgsync.exe process assists SimpleDrive device drivers and firmware components in integrating the data backup utility program bundled with these external data storage devices into the system, in order for the user to access the features and options provided by the SimpleDrive built-in data backup application. The strgsync.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these SimpleDrive drivers and firmware utilities, which also means the strgsync.exe process is included as one of the component files and libraries packaged into the installer distributions of these SimpleDrive firmware resources and device driver software utilities.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. strgsync.exe. is used by SimpleDrive Firmware/Driver Software and SimpleDrive Built-in Data Backup Utility, If you shut down strgsync.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop strgsync.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is SimpleDrive Firmware/Driver Software and SimpleDrive Built-in Data Backup Utility, from your system.
