The rsync.exe file is a type of a Windows process by the name DeltaCopy, which is a service component of DeltaCopy, a program developed by Synametrics Technologies. DeltaCopy is a kind of open source and fast incremental backup software, which is used to copy a part of any modified file. This is able to save time, as well as network bandwidth. In addition, this software is considered as a “Windows friendly wrapper” within the Rsync program that is maintained by Wayne Davison, and made for UNIX, Linux, and BSD platform systems. As a part of the software, the rsync.exe file is certainly important, and must remain running in the background of the computer system, regardless of its folder location, which is usually in C:\Program Files.
