The file rrpcsb.exe, known as Rapid Restore, belongs to software IBM Rapid Restore Ultra from Microsoft that simplifies data recovery from corrupted software. Rapid Restore is a data recovery program that enables the PC to self-manage, self-diagnose, and self-heal from problems that are related to software corruption and user-induced failures. The restore capability works by creating a service partition in the hard drive that is inaccessible to the operating system, the user, viruses, and applications. From this partition the application backs up to the entire image system, including all data files, registry settings, software applications and fix packs, user data and network settings, and saves these into the partition. It supports five restore points, three of which are IT created images and two for personal data backups that are stored separately into the partition. Recovery access points include Windows and pre-OS interfaces that are activated by F11 at boot time, and operate at the BIOS level to redirect the system to Rapid Restore PC's boot manager.
