The file rmsvc.exe, with process name Media Center RD RM Service, is a process from the Microsoft Windows Media Center. This is a user-invoked program that is used to remove a specific NT service. The Media Center applies to the Home Edition, Enterprise, Ultimate, and Professional editions of Windows 7. It is an entertainment center that allows users to enjoy online shows, watch DVDs, watch, pause and record HDTV, stream music, and a lot more, which makes this application the entertainment hub of Windows 7. It supports many global TV standards and tuners including digital and HD, and plays popular audio and video formats like WMV, AAC, MPEG-4, DivX, MOV, 3GP and AVCHD files. The Turbo Scroll feature enables users to quickly zip through available songs and shows to choose from. Users of this application can stream television programs and films through selected services such as Netflix, and with the use of Media Center Extenders like the XBox 360 console, playback these programs on a computer monitor or TV set
